India Showcases Telecom Revolution at MWC 2025, Strengthens Global Ties

Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia led India’s participation at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, showcasing the country’s rapid telecom advancements. His visit highlighted India’s 5G revolution, affordable data tariffs, indigenous 4G/5G stacks, and cybersecurity measures, reinforcing its global leadership in telecom innovation.
Addressing key sessions on “Global Tech Governance” and “Balancing Innovation & Regulation in Telecom”, Scindia emphasized India’s guiding principles of Innovation, Inclusivity, Sustainability, and Trust. He cited the success of Aadhaar and BharatNet, demonstrating India’s commitment to digital inclusion.
Scindia outlined India’s four-step approach to balancing innovation with regulation, focusing on spectrum management, market stability, streamlined telecom regulations, and cybersecurity for consumer protection.

During the event, he inaugurated the Bharat Pavilion, organized by TEPC with support from the Department of Telecommunications, showcasing 38 Indian telecom manufacturers. He also launched VVDN’s AI-driven Wi-Fi 7 and explored cutting-edge technologies at Meta and Google Cloud booths.

His visit included bilateral meetings with global telecom leaders, including Qualcomm, Cisco, Ericsson, Nokia, AMD, AT&T, Airtel, and BSNL, fostering strategic partnerships. He also met with U.S. FCC officials, strengthening international collaborations in 5G, AI, and next-gen telecom technologies.
India’s participation at MWC 2025 underscores its commitment to global telecom leadership, fostering investments, enhancing digital infrastructure, and shaping international policies for a connected and sustainable future.
