IndiaAI Mission Invites Proposals for Ethical AI Innovation
The IndiaAI Mission, launched on March 7, 2024, by the Government of India, is accelerating the nation’s journey toward global AI leadership and ethical AI innovation. Under its “Safe & Trusted AI” pillar, the mission focuses on developing tools and frameworks that address India’s unique socio-economic, cultural, and linguistic challenges.
In the second round of Expression of Interest (EoI), IndiaAI invites proposals from Indian academic institutions, R&D organizations, startups, autonomous bodies, and companies. This initiative aims to develop practical AI solutions and frameworks aligned with global standards while ensuring fairness, security, and inclusivity. Applications must be submitted by February 9, 2025.

- Watermarking & Labelling: Tools for authenticating AI-generated content, ensuring traceability and security.
- Ethical AI Frameworks: Standards to align AI development with human values and global best practices.
- AI Risk Assessment & Management: Tools to ensure safe AI deployment in public services.
- Stress Testing Tools: Solutions to assess AI performance under extreme conditions.
- Deepfake Detection Tools: Real-time tools to combat misinformation and secure digital ecosystems.
