Amber Enterprises, one of India’s leading manufacturers of air conditioners and electronic components, has announced a major investment of ₹6,000 crore to establish a large-scale electronics manufacturing facility near the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. This significant investment is expected to strengthen the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in the state and generate fresh employment opportunities.

According to Uttar Pradesh’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta, the announcement was made following his meeting with Amber Enterprises promoter Jasbir Singh in Lucknow. He stated that the company will be setting up dedicated units for printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, home appliances, and a wide range of consumer electronics as part of the proposed investment.

The minister called this a major step towards industrial transformation in the state, adding that the investment would boost economic activity and attract more investors to the region. Highlighting the state’s proactive approach under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, Gupta mentioned that efforts are underway to make Uttar Pradesh a hub for electronics and consumer goods manufacturing.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has already issued a Letter of Intent (LoI) to Amber Enterprises for the allotment of 100 acres of land in Sector 8 of Noida. The proposed land is strategically located along the expressway, close to the Noida International Airport in Jewar, making it ideal for logistics and export-oriented manufacturing.

This project is expected to accelerate industrial development in western Uttar Pradesh, especially around the airport zone. With a focus on creating a self-reliant electronics supply chain in India, the upcoming facility will not only reduce dependency on imports but also open up new avenues for startups and MSMEs in the supply ecosystem.

Amber Enterprises’ move is in line with the Government of India’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives, and comes at a time when the state is witnessing a surge in industrial investments. Once operational, the facility is projected to become a key pillar in India’s journey toward becoming a global electronics manufacturing hub.
