Optiemus Joins Hands with ASRock to Manufacture PC Motherboards in India

11

Optiemus Electronics (OEL), a leading contract manufacturer in India, has partnered with Taiwanese PC motherboard brand ASRock to begin local manufacturing of enterprise and gaming PC motherboards. This move marks Optiemus’ expansion into IT hardware, with production starting in April and Indian-made motherboards expected to be available in the market from May 2025. Until now, these components were imported.

With this collaboration, Optiemus, known for producing hearables for brands like Xiaomi, Realme, and Noise, is entering the high-tech PC component space. Executive Chairman Ashok Gupta stated that the company now has the capability to handle complex printed circuit board assemblies, essential for AI-powered devices and telecom-grade motherboards.

To ensure quality, Optiemus will use fully automated processes and advanced nitrogen reflow systems for better soldering precision. The financial terms of the partnership remain undisclosed, but the move strengthens India’s push for electronics manufacturing.
