Tata Electronics and Bosch Join Hands to Boost Semiconductor Growth

Tata Electronics and German tech giant Robert Bosch GmbH have joined hands to strengthen India’s capabilities in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. As part of a new memorandum of understanding (MoU), the two companies will work together on chip packaging and production at Tata Electronics’ upcoming assembly and test facility in Assam and its foundry in Gujarat.

Randhir Thakur, CEO of Tata Electronics, said the collaboration aligns with India’s ambition to build a robust semiconductor and electronics ecosystem. The partnership aims to enhance India’s global standing in electronics manufacturing.

The companies will also explore joint projects in electronic manufacturing services (EMS), particularly in vehicle electronics, to tap into the rising demand for automotive technology. Bosch Executive Vice President Dirk Kress highlighted the importance of this collaboration in meeting the growing need for advanced automotive electronics and ensuring supply chain resilience through local production in India.
