Samsung has officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra, will be its slimmest and lightest foldable phone to date. The company announced this through a press release, ahead of the expected launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 2025. The new Fold7 Ultra represents a major leap in Samsung’s mission to make foldable phones more compact and convenient without sacrificing performance.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra is designed with a focus on portability, bringing a thinner profile and reduced weight. Samsung claims that this model will offer a better in-hand experience, closely resembling a regular smartphone when folded, while still providing a large screen when opened. The improvements come from a reengineered hinge system and advanced display materials that help reduce bulk.

Since introducing the original Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung has refined its foldable lineup with every generation. The Fold7 Ultra continues this evolution, featuring a sturdier hinge, enhanced screen durability, and better usability with one hand. These upgrades aim to address user concerns around size, weight, and day-to-day durability.

Alongside the Fold7 Ultra, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip7 at the same event. Both devices will likely include new Galaxy AI tools, enhanced multitasking features, and improved app compatibility tailored for foldable displays. With this launch, Samsung aims to further cement its lead in the foldable smartphone segment.
