Microsoft has teamed up with Yotta Data Services to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption across India. Through this collaboration, Microsoft will integrate its Azure AI services with Yotta’s Shakti Cloud—an AI cloud platform designed to deliver cutting-edge tools to developers, startups, enterprises, and government agencies.

This partnership will support India’s national IndiaAI Mission, an initiative led by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), focused on building a strong AI ecosystem in the country. Yotta’s sovereign cloud infrastructure, combined with Microsoft’s advanced AI models and tools, aims to empower sectors like healthcare, education, agriculture, finance, retail, and media with faster model training and real-time AI application.

The collaboration is also expected to strengthen India’s AI infrastructure, foster innovation, and support the development of indigenous AI solutions. As of May 2025, the IndiaAI Mission has already received over 500 proposals for homegrown AI models.

Microsoft and Yotta will work closely with IITs, startups, public institutions, and private enterprises to scale AI innovation and ensure it aligns with India’s Digital Public Infrastructure goals.
