Ai+ Partners With Optiemus to Produce 3 Million Devices in India
Homegrown brand Ai+ Smartphone has partnered with Optiemus Electronics to manufacture around three million devices in India, with a planned investment of ₹125 crore over the next five years. The agreement supports the government’s push to strengthen domestic electronics production under the Make in India initiative.
The collaboration will cover manufacturing of smartphones, tablets, Internet of Things (IoT) devices and advanced wearable products at Optiemus Electronics’ facility in Noida. Production is expected to begin scaling up from April 2026.
According to the companies, the partnership aims to expand local manufacturing capacity while increasing value addition within India’s electronics ecosystem. The project is also expected to generate nearly 1,200 direct and indirect employment opportunities across manufacturing, operations and support services.
Ai+ Smartphone CEO Madhav Sheth said the partnership reflects the growing opportunity for Indian brands in a smartphone market largely dominated by global and Chinese players, while also strengthening local production capabilities.
