NIELIT Partners with 8 Leading Organizations to Boost Digital India Goals

In a major step to strengthen the Digital India mission, the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with eight leading organizations on April 25, 2025, at Electronics Niketan, New Delhi. The event was attended by S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), who praised the partnerships as a strategic move to build a stronger digital ecosystem.

NIELIT signed MoUs with Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), ERNET India, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Heartfulness Institute, Kyndryl India, Skyroot Aerospace, and Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR). These collaborations aim to boost education, research, skilling, and innovation in electronics, IT, and emerging technologies.

The partnerships will focus on joint research, curriculum development, training programs, capacity building, and supporting innovation. S. Krishnan emphasized that these alliances bring together academia, industry, and government institutions to create a future-ready workforce and support a digitally empowered society.

Dr. M. M. Tripathi, Director General of NIELIT, was praised for his leadership in driving these efforts to bridge the gap between industry requirements and academic outcomes. The ceremony saw the presence of senior officials from all partner organizations, highlighting the shared commitment to building India’s knowledge economy through innovation and skills development.
