Meta has launched its new Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses in India, combining stylish eyewear with cutting-edge smart features. Developed in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, these glasses offer a hands-free experience powered by Meta AI, making it easier for users to stay connected, capture content, and enjoy music on the go.

These smart glasses come with a 12MP ultra-wide camera, open-ear speakers, and a five-microphone array, allowing users to take high-quality photos, record 1080p videos of up to 60 seconds, and even livestream directly to Instagram or Facebook. The Meta View app helps in managing and sharing content across platforms.

Powered by the Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 chip and offering 32GB of internal storage, the glasses deliver up to four hours of continuous use, extendable to 32 hours with the included charging case. With an IPX4 water-resistance rating, they’re built for daily wear.

The standout feature is the Meta AI assistant, activated with “Hey Meta.” It handles tasks like music recognition, real-time translation (English to Spanish, French, or Italian), and context-based answers using the live camera feed. Users can also send and receive messages, make calls, and control music using Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music—all with voice commands.

Prices start at ₹29,900, with styles including Wayfarer and Skyler in various finishes. Sales begin on 19 May through Ray-Ban’s website and select eyewear retailers.
