Meta Names Aman Jain as New Public Policy Head to Strengthen India Focus

Meta India has appointed Aman Jain as its new Head of Public Policy, marking an important leadership change as the country works on key regulations related to technology and artificial intelligence. Jain will take charge early next year and report to Simon Milner, Vice President of Policy for the Asia-Pacific region. In this role, he will guide Meta’s policy direction in India and join the company’s India leadership team.
Aman Jain brings strong experience from the tech and policy ecosystem. Before joining Meta, he worked at Amazon for two years as Director of Public Policy, where he handled policy matters linked to marketplace operations, competition, and technology. He also spent over seven years at Google in different policy roles and previously served as an advisor to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
According to Simon Milner, India is a key market for Meta, especially as the country rapidly expands its digital economy driven by AI, new technologies, and the creator ecosystem. He added that Jain’s experience will help Meta work closely with regulators and industry partners to support a safe, inclusive, and future-ready internet environment.
India remains Meta’s largest market, with over a billion users across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
