India’s manufacturing and innovation space just got a real shot in the arm. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has joined forces with Blue Star Limited, signing a fresh agreement to support startups and entrepreneurs in key areas.
T.L.K. Singh from DPIIT and B Thiagarajan, Blue Star’s Managing Director, inked the deal. They’re setting out to help new ventures in HVAC technology, digital solutions, advanced manufacturing, and smarter supply chains. Basically, DPIIT and Blue Star want to turn smart ideas into real, market-ready products, plugging startups directly into industry expertise and networks.
Now, if you’re a startup, this partnership unlocks a lot: mentorship, R&D support, testing labs, pilot projects, and hands-on access to markets. It makes it easier to validate your concepts and get integrated into the established industrial ecosystem so you can actually scale up faster.
Discussions are also going on to launch innovation-focused programs like Bharat Startup Grand Challenge. These programs will help selected startups showcase their solutions in real-world scenario and build lasting partnerships across the industry.
It’s a bold step toward industry-led innovation and to strengthen India’s manufacturing sector powered by its growing startup scene.
