Amber Group Acquires Unitronics to Boost Industrial Automation Portfolio

Amber Enterprises, through its key subsidiary IL JIN Electronics India, has acquired a controlling stake in Israel-based industrial automation firm Unitronics (1989) (R”G). This strategic acquisition aims to strengthen Amber’s presence in the industrial electronics space and expand its product offerings, especially in automation technologies. Unitronics, known for its smart automation products, will benefit from IL JIN’s strong manufacturing capabilities and vast network across India.
With a 2024 turnover of $57 million and an EBITDA margin of 30%, Unitronics has a strong market presence, particularly in the US and Europe, which together contribute 95% of its global sales. The company develops and sells a wide range of industrial automation solutions such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and cloud-based SaaS platforms like UniCloud.
This acquisition aligns with Amber’s strategy to localize manufacturing through backward integration, making it more competitive in the Indian market while also gaining access to high-demand global markets. The move comes amid growing adoption of Industry 4.0 and real-time data technologies.
Amber Enterprises’ stock has seen a 66% gain in the past year, reflecting strong investor confidence despite recent short-term fluctuations.
