In a major strategic shift, CMF — the sub-brand of UK-based tech company Nothing — has announced the relocation of its global marketing division to India. This decision reflects the brand’s focus on deepening its roots in one of its fastest-growing markets. Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder of Nothing and President of its India operations, shared that the move aims to bring decision-making closer to the market that offers the most potential. He emphasized that this transition will enable CMF to move faster, understand local needs better, and lay stronger foundations for growth.
India’s growing influence in the global consumer electronics space, driven by initiatives like Make in India and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, has made the country a key hub for design, manufacturing, and innovation. CMF, which focuses on affordable yet well-designed gadgets like earbuds, accessories, and smartphones, stands to benefit from better local insights and quicker campaign rollouts.
The move also aligns with Nothing’s broader India-first approach. A large share of its devices is already designed and produced in India. The shift marks a significant step in building a stronger brand presence and responding faster to Indian consumer preferences.
