Libra Industries Expands SMT Capabilities at Dallas Facility

Libra Industries has upgraded its surface mount technology (SMT) and electronics manufacturing capabilities at its Dallas, Texas facility to meet rising demand from sectors like aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing. These improvements are aimed at delivering greater speed, accuracy, and quality for both low- and high-volume production.
The Dallas site now features several advanced machines, including the JUKI G-Titan Screen Printer for precise solder paste application and stencil inspection, and the Omron VP9000 3D SPI for accurate solder paste volume analysis. Three new JUKI LX-8 Placement Machines have also been installed, capable of placing up to 105,000 components per hour, making them ideal for high-speed production.
Additional enhancements include the Heller 1826 MK5 Reflow Oven, which supports nitrogen-based soldering for consistent thermal profiles, and the Omron VT-S730 3D AOI system for detailed inspection using multi-optical cameras.
Cory McMaster, General Manager of Libra’s Dallas facility, stated that these investments underscore Libra’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The facility also offers services like conformal coating, cable assembly, final box build, and thorough quality control systems, ensuring top-tier electronics manufacturing solutions.
