India Showcases 30 Breakthrough Circular Economy Innovations

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has launched a new coffee table book titled ‘I Am Circular’, curated by the International Council for Circular Economy (ICCE). The book showcases 30 groundbreaking innovations that promote sustainable practices and circular economy principles across India.
Speaking at the launch, Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at MeitY and Director General of the National Informatics Centre, highlighted the importance of building innovation ecosystems that prioritize sustainability. He called the book a symbol of India’s commitment to using technology for responsible growth and inclusive development.
The innovations featured in ‘I Am Circular’ were selected through a national challenge and focus on three themes: designing for durability, collaborating with nature, and reusing existing resources. The ideas range from electronic waste recycling and IoT-driven solutions to eco-friendly materials and digital repair platforms, all aiming to minimize waste and promote green alternatives.
Senior officials from MeitY, ICCE, and other stakeholders were present at the event. The book stands as a testament to India’s creative potential in addressing environmental challenges through technology and innovation.
