With an aim to increase production in India, Apple supplier Foxconn is planning to acquire around 300 acres of land near Yamuna Express in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. According to The Economic Times, if finalized, this would be Foxconn’s first major manufacturing facility in North India and could potentially be larger than its upcoming Bengaluru plant, which is set to become one of the world’s biggest.

This move reflects Foxconn and Apple’s ongoing efforts to shift their supply chain to India and reduce dependence on China amid global tariff issues. While details about the facility’s manufacturing focus are yet to be confirmed, discussions with the state government are reportedly in progress.

The proposed site is close to the 50-acre HCL-Foxconn semiconductor assembly plant near the upcoming Jewar airport. This development aligns with India’s growing ambitions in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
