Apple’s First Foldable iPhone Expected in 2026 With AI Features

Apple is set to enter the foldable smartphone market, with its first foldable iPhone expected to launch in late 2026. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company will finalize specifications by mid-2025, with mass production beginning in Q4 2026.
Unlike existing foldable models from Samsung, Google, and OnePlus, Apple’s device is anticipated to offer a refined design and premium build. It is expected to feature a 7.8-inch foldable inner screen and a 5.5-inch cover display, adopting a book-style folding mechanism similar to the Galaxy Z Fold series.
Kuo suggests that Apple may limit initial production to around 5 million units in the first year. The device will likely replace Face ID with a Touch ID side button to optimize internal space. Additionally, Apple is positioning this foldable iPhone as a “true AI-driven phone,” integrating AI-powered multitasking features.
With a projected price of $2,000 to $2,500, Apple’s foldable iPhone will target the ultra-premium segment, setting a new benchmark in the foldable smartphone industry.
