Jio, AMD, Cisco, Nokia Unite to Build AI-Powered Telecom Platform

Jio Platforms has joined forces with AMD, Cisco, and Nokia to develop an Open Telecom AI Platform, designed to enhance network security, optimize performance, and reduce technology costs. The platform will integrate large language models and specialized AI solutions to revolutionize the telecom industry through intelligent automation and real-time network adaptation.

The initiative will enable seamless AI-driven telecom operations, focusing on network efficiency, cybersecurity, and cost optimization. It will support open standards and APIs, ensuring interoperability across various AI tools and telecom systems.

“By leveraging agentic AI across all telecom layers, we are building a multimodal, multidomain orchestrated workflow platform that redefines network intelligence and efficiency,” said Mathew Oommen, Group CEO, Reliance Jio.

With Jio as the first customer, the platform will serve as a replicable reference model for global telecom providers. Pekka Lundmark, CEO of Nokia, emphasized that this AI-powered solution will help optimize network investments, improve security, and enhance user experiences.

AMD will contribute high-performance CPUs, GPUs, and computing solutions, ensuring scalability and security. Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, highlighted the transformative potential of AI in shaping future telecom services.

Chuck Robbins, CEO of Cisco, stated that the collaboration brings together leading industry expertise to revolutionize connectivity with AI-driven solutions.
