Xiaomi 15 Ultra Debuts with Snapdragon 8 Elite, Leica Quad Cameras

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China, expanding its flagship smartphone lineup alongside the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. Positioned as the successor to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the new device arrives ahead of MWC 2025, featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and the latest HyperOS 2 interface.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Pricing and Variants
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra starts at CNY 6,499 (approx. ₹78,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model, while the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at CNY 6,999 (approx. ₹84,000) and CNY 7,799 (approx. ₹93,000), respectively. It is available in classic black, silver, pine green, cypress green, black, and white color options. Xiaomi also offers a Professional Imaging Kit for CNY 999 (approx. ₹12,000) as an add-on.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and features a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nits peak brightness, 300Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, clocked at 4.32GHz, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Graphics performance is handled by the Adreno 830 GPU.
Camera and Battery
The Leica-tuned quad-camera system includes:
- 50MP Sony LYT900 primary sensor with OIS (f/1.63)
- 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor with 3x optical zoom (f/1.8)
- 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 telephoto lens (100mm, f/2.6)
- 50MP ultra-wide lens (115° FoV, f/2.2)
The 32MP front camera supports 4K video recording.
A 6,000mAh battery powers the device with 90W wired, 80W wireless, and reverse wireless charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C. The phone also features an IP68 rating and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
