DPIIT Partners with boAt to Empower Startups and Drive Innovation

In a significant move to bolster India’s startup ecosystem, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with boAt, a leading Indian brand in the audio and wearables market. This partnership aims to support DPIIT-recognized startups, particularly in the D2C and manufacturing sectors, fostering innovation and enabling growth.
Key highlights of this collaboration include the development of dedicated programs to mentor startups, provide resources and guidance for prototype development, and offer strategic insights for global market expansion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjiv, Joint Secretary of Startup India, emphasized the importance of this partnership in strengthening India’s position as a hub for world-class manufacturing and entrepreneurship. “By connecting startups with industry leaders like boAt, we aim to enhance innovation, accelerate product development, and build globally competitive brands,” he stated.
Aman Gupta, Co-founder of boAt, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, highlighting its alignment with the “Make in India” vision. He added, “This partnership reflects our commitment to nurturing a robust ecosystem for startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs.”
The alliance between DPIIT and boAt is expected to accelerate India’s journey toward becoming a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.
