Apple to Introduce iCloud-Based Event Invitation Service ‘Confetti’

Apple is reportedly working on a new iCloud-based event invitation service called “Confetti” to simplify event planning. According to Bloomberg, the service will allow users to send invitations for meetings, parties, and other gatherings. It is expected to launch soon, possibly within the week.
The feature is linked to the latest iOS 18.3 update, which began rolling out last month. Reports from 9To5Mac indicate that traces of this feature were found in the iOS 18.3 beta, but Apple has yet to officially enable it.
Unlike the existing Calendar app, “Confetti” is expected to offer enhanced event organization tools. The service will be fully integrated with iCloud, and a web version may also be available via the iCloud website. Additionally, it will utilize iOS 18’s GroupKit software, enabling users to manage guest lists and track RSVPs.
It is still unclear whether “Confetti” will launch as a standalone app or as an enhanced feature within the Calendar app, which Apple is reportedly planning to revamp. As anticipation builds, more details on Apple’s event management service are expected soon.
