Over 18.56 Lakh Enrollments on ‘FutureSkills PRIME’ for IT Reskilling and Upskilling

The Indian government is driving initiatives to position India as a global technology leader. As part of this effort, over 18.56 lakh candidates have signed up for ‘FutureSkills PRIME,’ a program launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to reskill and upskill IT professionals in emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence.
Out of these, more than 3.37 lakh have completed their courses. Startups are also being supported under the Centers of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence to develop AI-based tools for the manufacturing sector.
Additionally, the ‘YUVAi’ program aims to equip students from classes 8 to 12 with AI skills, focusing on thematic areas such as agriculture, healthcare, and smart cities. These efforts highlight India’s commitment to fostering a tech-savvy workforce for the future.
