MeitY Empowers Over 3600 Tech Startups with INR 212 Crore Funding

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is driving innovation and fostering growth in India’s startup ecosystem, supporting more than 3,600 tech startups with INR 212 crore in funding.
Through initiatives like the Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE 2.0), Startup Accelerator of MeitY for Product Innovation, Development, and Growth (SAMRIDH), and the Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS), the ministry enables startups at various stages to scale and secure further investment.
MeitY has established 42 Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to nurture cutting-edge technologies and empower innovation. These efforts align with the Startup India initiative, with over 1.43 lakh DPIIT-recognized startups operating in the country.
