India-Japan Finance Dialogue Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation

The 2nd India-Japan Finance Dialogue was held in Tokyo on September 6, 2024, co-chaired by Japan’s Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs, Atsushi Mimura, and India’s Secretary of Economic Affairs, Ajay Seth. Delegates from both nations, including officials from finance ministries, central banks, and regulatory bodies, discussed macroeconomic developments, financial digitalization, and regulatory cooperation.
The dialogue also featured a session with Japan’s financial industry to explore expanding investments in India. Both sides agreed to continue discussions to enhance financial cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties, with plans to hold the next meeting in New Delhi.
