India and U.S. Sign MoU on Critical Mineral Supply Chains at 6th India-US Commercial Dialogue

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo co-chaired the 6th India-US Commercial Dialogue in Washington D.C., focusing on trade, investment, and new technologies.
A key highlight was the signing of an MoU to “Expand and Diversify Critical Mineral Supply Chains,” strengthening cooperation in exploration, extraction, and recycling. Goyal also met U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai to discuss enhancing two-way trade and bilateral cooperation.
Goyal emphasized India’s push to become a global manufacturing hub, underlining investment opportunities and supply chain resilience during his keynote at CSIS.
