Foxconn Invests INR 267 Cr in India Facility to Manufacture iPhone 16 Pro Series

Foxconn, the Taiwanese electronics giant, has invested approximately Rs 267 crore ($31.8 million) in new machinery for its Tamil Nadu factory, preparing to manufacture Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro series locally. This marks the first time Apple’s high-end Pro series will be made outside China, underscoring India’s growing role in global tech manufacturing.
In a regulatory filing, Foxconn’s Indian subsidiary announced the acquisition of equipment from Apple Operations Limited to expand its production capabilities. This move aligns with Apple’s recent statement that the “Made in India” iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will soon enter the market.
This development highlights India’s increasing importance in Apple’s supply chain, supporting the company’s goal to diversify production and strengthen local manufacturing capabilities.
Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any points for rookie blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
