BIS Hosts Twin Conventions to Bridge Academic Research and Standardization
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has successfully organized twin conventions in Udaipur and Dharmashala to enhance collaboration between academic research and national and international standardization. The convention in Udaipur focused on Civil Engineering, featuring insights from Director General Pramod Kumar Tiwari about academia’s critical role in standardization.
Concurrently, Dharmashala hosted a convention for Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, led by Dy. Director General Chandan Bahl. These conventions aim to foster partnerships with 92 educational institutions, encouraging their active involvement in BIS Technical Committees and contributing to the development of national standards.
