BIS Approves 82 R&D Projects for Technical Institute Faculty

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has approved 82 Research & Development (R&D) projects for faculty members from leading technical institutions, including IITs and NITs. Each project, with a budget of up to ten lakh rupees and a six-month completion timeline, emphasizes practical field studies in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology, and Renewable Energy.
BIS aims to enhance standardization while safeguarding consumer interests and ensuring product quality. In addition to these projects, 99 more are in the allotment process, and 66 are available for application, fostering innovation in India’s academic research landscape.
